Today is a challenging day for our country, our Constitution, and the future of the next generation. As we've discussed for over a year, there's a political realignment happening not just in the United States, but across the Western world. History shows us that political realignments are often chaotic, unpredictable, and unfortunately, sometimes even violent. This time is no exception.
In our planning, we considered the potential outcomes of the election, and we often joked that a Trump victory might ironically be better for the future of our project than a Harris victory. A Harris win, in my view, would only have delayed the inevitable realignment by four years. On the other hand, a Trump victory would solidify the populist authoritarian coalition on the right, while forcing the Democratic Party into a period of introspection and transformation.
As it stands, the current outcome is, unfortunately, the worst for the future of liberal democracy, yet also presents the best opportunity for Project Liberal to grow and flourish. We now have an unprecedented chance to shape the coalitions that will form the opposition to far-right populism. Here is where we intend to begin:
Manifesto. We must clearly articulate the values that form the foundation of the growing liberal movement. At the core, this must include a commitment to:
Free trade, free markets, growth, development, and economic dynamism
International cooperation, military, and economic solidarity with liberal democracies worldwide
Tolerance as the antidote to violence
Individual liberty for all—even those who disagree with us
Democracy, the rule of law, and limitations on government power
Pluralism and immigration, without undermining the rules that support our system
Liberalism rejects identity politics, drives economic prosperity, and lifts people out of poverty. A true liberal agenda addresses many of the root motivations and criticisms that the Republican Party used to secure victory yesterday.
Branding. Our website, messaging, and overall brand will undergo a comprehensive refresh to better reflect our values. Our movement is evolving, and it is time for our brand to evolve with it.
Liberal Propaganda. We must make liberalism attractive again by directly competing with narratives that have gained traction among younger generations. This means creating content that is emotionally resonant and inspiring, highlighting why liberal values matter now more than ever.
Liberal Media Ecosystem. We need to build a digital ecosystem capable of outcompeting right-wing populist media. We envision a "Daily Wire" or "PragerU" equivalent for liberalism—a decentralized network of content creators producing impactful, emotionally engaging content that directly counters the narratives fueling authoritarianism among Gen Z.
Scorecard. We will also be expanding our efforts to create a Liberal Democracy Scorecard, holding representatives accountable and providing voters with the information they need to support candidates who stand for liberal values. This will be a key tool in our mission to restore trust and transparency in our political system.
The words of Thomas Paine stick out to me today, "If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace."
I am more confident than ever that we can meet the trouble of this moment.
Thank you for being a part of this movement. Let's get to work.
Nice election result faggot
